We're Soccer Friendly

The growing numbers of international employees working in Yellowstone over the last few summer seasons have made one thing very clear - soccer is perhaps the most popular sport in the world. In response to this growing interest in the park, we've gotten more involved in providing more facilities and events for soccer play.

This summer all location softball fields will feature portable soccer goals. Soccer balls can be checked out at all location Employee Recreation offices. Soccer play inside of the Employee Recreation Halls is permitted only if a soft foam ball is used, and only during designated times. All employees who are interested in playing soccer should speak to their location Employee Recreation staff. They'll tell you where you can play, and help you get some tournaments planned.

2012 Soccer Program Information

The Yellowstone Cup Soccer Tournament is a parkwide tournament, bringing together all of the park's best players. Play will consist of 6 vs. 6 small-sided games without the use of goalies. This tournament will last all day. BBQ food and and beverages will be available in the afternoon. The 2012 Yellowstone Cup Soccer tournament will be scheduled in mid July. Keep checking our calendars for finalized date, times, and location.
