Yellowstone boasts 2.2 million acres of high mountain country dedicated for the "enjoyment and benefit of the people." YCERP takes these words to heart and enjoy it we do! Our outdoor recreation program offers a variety of activities that showcase the best of Greater Yellowstone.

Guided Interpretive Group Hikes form the core of our outdoor recreation program.  Full day, evening, and full moon hikes allow employees with various work schedules to participate. Using passenger vans we travel throughout Yellowstone and Grand Teton to hike the parks' most impressive and breathtaking trails.

Register for trips in your location recreation office to enjoy the rush of the rapids like these Lake and Canyon employees.

Scenic rivers and lakes abound in Yellowstone. Whitewater rafting, canoeing, and kayaking trips frequent our activity calendars in summer months.  We also travel to swimming holes and soaking spots within Yellowstone to enjoy thermal heater rivers.

Yellowstone's world famous animals take center stage in our evening wildlife watching trips. Using our scopes and binoculars employees observe the park's critters including the free roaming grizzly and the elusive wolf.

Ziplining trips sling participants over the the clean air of Big Sky country.

Weekly Activity Calendars list upcoming activities. Visit an employee recreation office to register for trips.
