GUIDED INTERPRETIVE GROUP HIKES, WHITEWATER RAFTING, SHOPPING TRIPS, MUSEUM TOURS & MORE!

Yellowstone boasts 2.2 million acres of high mountain country dedicated for the “enjoyment and benefit of the people.” YCERP takes these words to heart and enjoy it we do! Our outdoor recreation program offers a variety of activities that showcase the best of Greater Yellowstone.
Guided Interpretive Group Hikes form the core of our outdoor recreation program.  Full day, evening, and full moon hikes allow employees with various work schedules to participate. Using passenger vans we travel throughout Yellowstone and Grand Teton to hike the parks’ most impressive and breathtaking trails.
Scenic rivers and lakes abound in Yellowstone. Whitewater rafting trips frequent our activity calendars in summer months.  We also travel to swimming holes and soaking spots within Yellowstone and surrounding communities to enjoy thermal heated rivers and hot springs.
Yellowstone, its gateway communities, and nearby Grand Teton National Park offer a tremendous array of activities and events.  Van trips utilize 7-15 person passenger vehicles to explore the region’s most interesting and entertaining sights and sounds.
Sightseeing tours travel within the park highlighting its volcanism, geyser basins, and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.  Scintillating scenery awaits participants on trips to Grand Teton National Park, the Beartooth Scenic Highway, Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park, and the Teton Village Tram.
Western culture is alive and well at rodeos, Chico Hot Springs, and the five museums located in Cody’s Buffalo Bill Center of the West.
Yellowstone’s world famous animals take center stage in our evening wildlife watching trips. Using our scopes employees observe the park’s critters including the free roaming grizzly and the elusive wolf.
Shopping trips are a huge hit with employees who can live as far away as an hour and a half from the nearest town.   Employees can purchase supplies and buy souvenirs in Cody and Jackson Wyoming and in Montana in West Yellowstone and Bozeman.
All trips require pre-registration and payment.  Visit your location recreation office to sign up.  Space is limited.  All trips are advertised three weeks in advance on Activity Calendars.
