So what’s to do this winter for employees surrounded by closed roads and freezing temperatures? We’re glad you asked!
Cross country ski outings, coach trips to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, full moon skis, and a three day ski trip to Grand Targhee Resort will get your heart pumping in the great outdoors. Indoor activities include big screen movie night, bingo, and pool and cornhole tournaments. Bring or purchase a gift worth no more than ten dollars to participate in the Mammoth or Snow Lodge Christmas gift exchange.
Two brand new shiny ellipticals adorn the Larkspur dorm at Snow Lodge and weight equipment is located in Bitterroot. Mammoth will host pickup volleyball on Thursday nights and will have its gym open regulars hours 5am – midnight.
Snow Lodge will host several dances including the 1920s themed New Years Eve Ball. Dress up in 1920s attire and help recreate the photo shown at the end of The Shining so we can frame the photo and hang it in the Snow Lodge pub for eternity. Dances scheduled for this winter include the Winter Solstice Party, Decades Dance, Appalachian Dance, Heaven and Hell Dance, and Superhero Party. So think about your costumes and pack in advance–there aren’t any costume shops in YNP!
As always the winter photo contest will be held, as will seminars, and other trips and tours. When you arrive to the park check our Activity Calendars for details.
